Mukesh Kumar Meena: An Accomplished IAS Officer
Mukesh Kumar Meena is an IAS officer of the Indian Administrative Service with the rank of senior IAS officer and of the 1998 batch from the Andhra Pradesh cadre. He will be 54 years old in 2025. He was born in Rajasthan and has spent more than two decades in public administration.
Educational Qualifications and Civil Services Process
Mukesh Kumar Meena was born in Rajasthan. He has a strong academic background and has an M.A. Degree in anthropology, which has helped him develop an understanding of social issues throughout his administrative career. He prepared extensively for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) and successfully completed the examination in 1997 and becoming an IAS officer at 27 years of age and being allocated to the Andhra Pradesh Cadre.
Key Administrative Positions
Throughout his career, Mukesh Kumar Meena has held many senior administrative positions, including as District Collector of both Kurnool and Hyderabad and as Commissioner for many departments, including as Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh Mining Development Corporation (APMDC). Additionally, he has served as Commissioner of various Departments for Tribal Welfare and Social Justice and as Commissioner for various Departments during the implementation of both the Tribal Welfare and the Social Justice initiatives.
