In 2025, Punjabi cinema, or what is affectionately called Pollywood, is set to see a great lineup of films that will do well at the box office. Veteran actress Neeru Bajwa is set to feature in the soon-to-be-released film Phaphey Kuttniyan. The title, although simple, translates to “gossipers”, which is a very apt choice for a fun and frothy story. In the director’s own Prem Singh Sidhu’s hand and also starring Tania, the film is a play at that of a light-hearted comedy which also looks at the theme of female friendship and the mayhem that comes with it. With a great cast and a new approach to comedy, this film is set to be one of the most entertaining of the year.
These films promise to bring the house down with their action and plot. Maa Jay, which stars Jimmy Sheirgill and Manav V, is a family drathatich appears to be based on real-life issues. Punjabi Aa Gaye Oye, which features Prince Kanwaljit Singh and Singg, is also a film that is going to go into a more dramatic and action-oriented narrative, which in turn is showing Punjabi cinema
