As of January 2026, IPS Sweety Sehrawat has become one of the leading figures in the Bihar Police. At present, she is the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Purnia district, in which she is doing very well. What we see in her is stancend of no compromise on law and order. Born on March 26, 1992, in the village of Ramzanpur, Delhi, i which makes her 33 as of early 2026. Though born in Delhi, which is her root area, at a young age, her family shifted to Sonipat iHaryanaan, Haryana, where she finished her primary education.
A very bright student, Sweety did her B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the elite Delhi Technological University (DTU). Before joining the civil service, es she was a design engineer at NXSemiconductors,ors, which she left to follow what she really wanted.
Family: Realizing a Father’s Dream.
Sweety’s base motivation is in her family history. Her father, Dale Ram Sehrawat, was a Head Constable in the Delhi Police. In ,2,013 he died in a tragic car accident while on duty. He aspired to see his daughter become a high-ranking officer.
Despite what the death brought, which included great emotion and financial loss, Sweet,y with her mother Kamlesh Sehrawat at his side and her brother Harish Sehrawat (who is a Sub-Inspector in the CIS, er also turned to the UPSC. In 2019, she achievedan All India Rank 187, which also saw her choose the IP, S, in which she followed in her father’s service legacy.

Sweety is a part of the 2020 Indian Police Service batch and was assigned the Bihar Cadre.
The “Lady Singham” Persona: She got to the national stage when she was the City SP of Aurangabad, where at one point she put forward her case in a professional debate against retired IPS officer and former Governor Nikhil Kumar on police issues.
Patna Tenure: As the SDPO of Sadar Patna,a she played a key role inorganizing large-scalee protests, and we note that she had a very strong handle on the 2024 2025 BPSC aspirant agitations.
Purnia SP (Current): In June 2025, she was appointed to the post in Purnia, and in 2026, her focus has been on breaking up drug rings and improving women’s safety in the Seemanchal region.
Personal Life, Husband, and Net Worth
In 202,6 Sweety Sehrawat is still devoted to her role in administration. Although there is great public interest in her personal life, she is reported to be still singing, le which she has chosen to keep private from the digital world.
