As you scroll through reels and late-night comedy clips and notice that which sharp observer of the middle-class life, which also happens to be very funny, you are most likely to have come across Aditya Kulshrestha, better known as Kullu or Kullubaazi. In a short amount of time, this Bhopal-born comic has turned to make out of the ordinary things into what has become very popular material, which resonates with large audiences, and in 2026, his rise only continues.
Early Life and Personal Background
Aditya Kulshrestha was born on the 2nd of July, 1997, in the city of Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, India. What sets him apart is that his relatability comes from his humour as well as his background in the middle-class college, family, and friends, which most people can look to in the mirror and see a reflection of themselves in. In 2026, he will have turned 28, which is the age at which his creative voice has found its stride and also has a large audience.

In his youth, he was immersed in stories and people, which in turn shaped his comic timing, which he is known for today. Also, growing up in a very culturally and art-supportive town like Bhopal gave him a perspective on everyday life, which now plays a key role in his stand-up routines.
Physical Stats
While it is true that comics are known more for their humour than their looks, fans do still enjoy learning about the man behind the character. Kullu is of a height of 5’8” (173 cm) and has a slim build, which in fact complements his dynamic stage performance. That is what followers see on our social media via Instagram, YouTube and also what we see during tour.
His large personality and down-to-earth presence, which in turn has him connecting with the audience, is a big factor in why his live shows are that of shared experiences as opposed to set acts.
Education and Early Passion for Comedy
Unlike what we see in many a case of performers that come out of art schools, Aditya’s academic path was technical. He got a B.Tech at Laxmi Narain College of Technology (LNCT) in Bhopal, which is a very respected engineering institution. Although very challenging, engineering studies did not put out his fire for writing and funny sketches.
In college, Kullu began to experiment with humour via writing and performing short skits, which in turn formed the base of his stand-up style, very much in the real-life, middle-class situation comedy vein. That which came from academic study and art fell into place to give him a unique edge, which he took into the full-time entertainment world.
Comedy Career: Kulluu’s ascent
Aditya did not hit it big in comedy at the drop of a hat. His first big break came via the radio when he hosted the “Mirchi Hangout” afternoons slot on Radio Mirchi, which was on air in eight different stations. That experience also put to use and improved his improvisation and crowd interaction skills very important for live comedy.
But on social media is where he really broke out. He grew a dedicated following on Instagram and YouTube, which he reports to have grown from his stand-up, relatable monologues, and sharp sketches. His video of engineering college life went viral, with over 2.9 million views and secured his place as a voice of a generation that finds humour in the ordinary.
Today, Kullu has played at hundreds of shows across India, from out-of-this-world college gigs to comedy clubs and city tours. His act, which includes titles like Smooth Kullu Smooth, is of humour as well as personal growth, a man turning day-to-day battles into belly laughs.
Looking Ahead in 2026
In whatever capacity you know him for, from his sharp social commentary to his great sketches, or his live stage presence, it is hard to ignore that Kullu is the face of what new Indian comedy has to offer.
