The officer comes from a modest background. He grew up in Mandi village in Haryana. His family provided a strong foundation. He completed his early education at DAV School, Narnaul. Two elder sisters greatly influenced his career choice. They both successfully cleared the competitive civil services examination. His sister Kranti serves as a deputy commissioner. She works in the Income Tax Department in Mumbai. His other sister, Pooja, is an IPS officer in Rajasthan. A legacy of service runs in his family. His great-grandfather, Rao Madhav Singh, was a freedom fighter.
Educational Excellence and Top Rank
Education was always a priority for Lok Bandhu. He first pursued a B.Sc. degree. Following this, he earned an MBA degree. This was from the prestigious Shri Ram College of Commerce. The college is located in New Delhi. He then started preparing for the UPSC exam. He prepared alongside one of his sisters. He cleared the difficult Civil Services Examination on his second try. He achieved an impressive All India Rank of 7. This high rank allowed him to choose the IAS.
Career Path and Key Postings
Lok Bandhu has a diverse career record. He has worked across various administrative domains. His initial roles included Assistant Secretary. This position was within a central government department. He also worked as a sub-divisional officer. He served in both Rawatsar and Girwa. His work involved urban development as well. He was the CEO of Jaipur Smart City Ltd. He also served as the Commissioner of the Jaipur Heritage Municipal Corporation.
His tenure as a District Collector is notable. He previously held the post in the Barmer district. He was later posted as the Collector of Bharatpur. Taking charge in early 2024, he became the 55th Collector of Sri Ganganagar. His current role as the Collector of Ajmer highlights his continued importance. Mr. Bandhu is recognized as a dynamic young bureaucrat. He is committed to good governance in Rajasthan.
