Sushmita Konidela is a key player in the Telugu film industry, a fact largely due to her genes as the daughter of Megastar Chiranjeevi, but also to her success as a costume designer and film producer. Born in 1982 and will turn 43 in 2025, at which time Sushmita Konidela will have had a 25-year professional career. After finishing school, she went to pursue her love of fashion and design. She is a product of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), which gave her the design and styling base. Into film she got naturally, which allowed her to use her creative talent within the family film business. Sushmita is the oldest of the children born to the great actor Chiranjeevi and his wife Surekha Konidela. Also a sister to the star — Ram Charan and Sreeja Konidela. Her family, which is very much a power in the Telugu film industry, also includes her uncle, Pawan Kalyan, and Nagendra Babu, who whore very large names in the field.
Sushmita is married to Vishnu Prasad, who has a business that also includes a foray into film production, which they have together. Career and Movies in 2025
Sushmita began her career as a costume designer and worked on many of her father’s films. It was in films like Khaidi No. 150 (2017) and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (2019) that her distinctive sense of style and attention to detail, which had been the trademarks of her work, came to the fore.
In recent times, Sushmita has gone into production, which is a new front in her film industry career. She started her production company, Gold Box Entertainment, which is into a wide variety of content, which includes films and web series. Also, via this company, she did her production debut in the film Ridevi Shob, a feel-good romantic, which was released in 2023.
As of 2025, Sushmita has been in many new projects. She is co-producing her father’s upcoming film, which is titled Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu and is directed by Anil Ravipudi. The film is a major project for us and is set for release in early 2026. 
Also, she is very much into the design of costumes for her father’s upcoming fantasy film Vishwambhara which is scheduled to release in 2026. This is to show her presence in the creative as well as business aspects of filmmaking
