Raj Ayyappa was born and brought up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He is the son of veteran Tamil actor and producer Bhanu Prakash. During his college days at Loyola College, superstar Thala Ajith Kumar once saw Raj’s pictures and suggested to Bhanu Prakash that Raj should try his luck in films.
