Shaikh Mohammad Mudassir Faisal, also known as Mr. Faisu, was born in Dharavi, Mumbai, on 5 October 1994. He attended IES New English School at Bandra for his primary education, which took him to Rizvi College of Arts, Science, and Commerce for university. To put himself through college, which was a challenge, Faisal jumped at every chance to work as a salesman at the same time, which in turn instilled in him that strong work ethic which is a hallmark of his.

As of mid-2025, Mr. Faisu is 30. In October 1994, he was born, and in October 2024, he turned 30. At 5’9” (which is about 175 cm), he has black hair, black eyes, and a fit, toned look, which he achieves at the gym for 2 hours a day.

Faisal began to share lip sync and short videos on TikTok (the platform, which used to be known as Musical.ly) with friends Hasnain Khan, Adnaan Shaikh, Faiz Baloch, and Sadhan Farooqui, who are members of Team 07.
In 2018, they broke out with the YouTube video “Tera Jaisa Yaar Kahan”, which also brought in a very fast rise in popularity.
By the time of Faisu’s entry in 2019, he had already made a large impact, which was the public’s first introduction via his performance in the music videos for “Viah Nai Karauna”, “Fruity Lagdi Hai”, “Kaali Meri Gadi” and “Nazar Na Lag Jaye”. In that same year of 2019, Team 07 got into controversy with a TikTok video which was supportive of vigilante violence after the death of Tabrez Ansari. That action brought out great protest, which in turn made TikTok suspend the accounts of Faisal and others, and also, we saw Team 07 issue an apology.
