A Starry Night of Fashion
Bombay Times Fashion Week was on fire with glamour, color, and star power as fashion designer Rohit Verma presented his new collection. The show was the talk of the town as Bollywood stars Huma Qureshi and Zayed Khan were turned into showstoppers by the fashion designer. They added some star power to the ramp, which complemented Verma’s rainbow extravaganza perfectly.
The Collection: A Celebration of Culture and Color
Titled ‘Indradhanush’, or ‘rainbow’, Rohit Verma’s collection represented India’s unity and diverseness. The collection took inspiration from a rich color palette of colors and intricate patterns from various cultural artefacts and traditions and adapted them for its own. It was a blend of centuries-old Indian sensitivities with modernization, a reflection of living together of communities and cultures.

A Dance That Speaks Beyond Words
Giddha is not merely a performance—it is an echo of generations, a celebration of womanhood passed down through time. Rooted in the soil of Punjab, it carries the strength of voices that have laughed, sung, and stood tall together.
Weaving Legacy Into Fashion
In Rohit Verma’s hands, fabric becomes a vessel of history. His collection doesn’t just dress the body—it honours the spirit. Inspired by Giddha, each silhouette flows with the grace of tradition and the freedom of movement, capturing stories stitched in colour and craft.
Jewels of the Land
Complementing the garments, Shilpa Chokse’s handcrafted jewellery reflects the heritage of adornment—pieces that speak of celebration, devotion, and the pride of generations of women.
Harmony in Every Step
At the heart of Giddha lies transformation—a shared rhythm that breaks down boundaries. In the swirl of the dance, roles blur. Women—mothers, daughters, sisters—move not in hierarchy, but in harmony. It is this essence that lives in every fold, every detail of the collection.
Huma Qureshi: Grace and Power Combined
Huma Qureshi left all spellbound with her direct personality and authoritative presence. She was dressed in a breathtakingly embroidered ensemble in dramatic, structured fashion. Her body, which she was herself at ease in, was an extension of the same confidence, and the perfection of embroidery on the outfit was an extension of India’s timeless expertise. Huma wore the outfit with confidence and comfort, and she was the very embodiment of the collection.

Zayed Khan: The Royal Return
In the spotlight once again in a fashionably trendy way, Zayed Khan made his fashionably stylish splash as he strutted down the ramp. Wearing a royal outfit with vintage prints and modern cuts, he brought some élan to the ramp extravaganza. His vintage look and swaggering attitude found a stamp of approval from the masses, and it was just the lead up to what was to follow for the actor’s comeback to the world of fashion.
A Timeless Homage
Tonight, this showcase is not just about fashion—it is a tribute. A tribute to the rhythm that unites, the tradition that empowers, and the spirit of Giddha that continues to bloom, unshaken, through the fabric of time.
A Style Statement with a Hidden Message
The show was not just a fashion show—it was one of acceptance and unity. By taking the theme of the rainbow, Verma was speaking out as a symbol of acceptance and belongingness. All people from all walks of life and identities were invited to the event and employed models from all walks of life. The runway that evening was turned into a canvas not just for apparel but also into an arena of expression, identity, and belonging.
Designer’s Vision
Designer’s Vision Finds Expression in Rohit Verma, brash and uncompromising, once again skillfully merged style and storytelling. His passion for culture, diversity, and empowerment was evident in every outfit. The precision in material choice, embroidery, and color scheme reflected a great reverence for craftsmanship and imagination. It was obvious that each piece was a narrative, and collectively, they gave a line that was not only beautiful but memorable as well.
A Memorable Moment In Fashion Week
A Fashion Week Memory to Cherish The showstoppers and designer were applauded standing at the end of the night. Huma and Zayed walked hand in hand with Rohit Verma, greeting the crowds and toasting the designer for a cause. The show was a moment of glory on the fashion calendar, demonstrating to the masses that beauty, talent, and message can walk hand in hand down the catwalk.
Grand Finale Impressions
The grand finale of Shamal Bumika left the audience with mixed feelings. While the production and concept had potential, certain moments on the runway lacked the spark one would typically expect at such a high-profile closing. Kushi Kapoor’s appearance, though poised, didn’t quite bring the energy to elevate the finale. In contrast, Rohit Verma’s presentation earlier in the evening showcased a vibrant narrative and strong styling choices that clearly resonated with the crowd.
